Welcome to the online exhibition of:
      ‘Palestine: The Exodus and Odyssey’ by Ismail and Tamam Shammout.

As you will soon find out, this exhibit illustrates the plight of Palestinians since the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. It is the artists’ impressions as seen by being a part of that experience.

This exhibition will take place in Amman at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, and will run from November 1st until December 1st, 2000.

Some details before you begin:

The paintings within this exhibit are large wall murals in actual size. Therefore close-up shots are available for different sections of each painting to enable you to receive an enhanced effect. These can be viewed by clicking the zoom icons to the right of the paintings.

As you enter the tour, you will be taken through the artists’ paintings in series; as they have experienced and portrayed the events. Use the arrow buttons on the bottom right to navigate back and forth between the paintings. The circle in between the arrows will take you back to the main painting.

As you travel through the tour, you can read the stories behind each painting .
