Tamams
artistic experience was quite rich in form and
content She tackled several subjects in her
paintings using more than one style In the
starting years of her journey she tended to
prefer the realistic style inspired by the
Palestinian way of life and the beautiful
landscape of Lebanon Later on she moved to topics
emanating from stories of Palestinian heritage
which she depicted in marvelous pieces of art
using the historical style of Arab painting. In
the following stage she was attracted to topics
about Palestinian cities like Jerusalem, Jaffa,
Nablus, Bethlehem, Hebron and others She produced
paintings showing the old houses and alleys of
these cities that were stored in her memory Here,
also, she used the historical Arab style where
she would show more than one scene in the same
painting. Tamam also used a unique style in
some of her paintings where she would paint a
certain scene and then repeated in the same piece
of work but with different lines and graded
colours. This was impressed on her by the famous
folkloric Arab "Mawwal" and Arab
rhythm.
